Rouge Valley Park
Our government announced in its budget, June 6, 2011 that it will take action toward the establishment of a National Park in the Rouge Valley. Located within Canada’s largest urban area, and stretching from Lake Ontario to the Oak Ridges Moraine and Pickering, the Rouge Valley is a vast but hidden natural treasure whose sensitive ecology can now be protected by Parks Canada and preserved for the enjoyment of the 7 million people who live within an hour’s drive.
